Visitors for the Brothers of the Sun!

Months and months ago we bought tickets to see this...
And the weekend was finally here! Natalie, Niki, and Danni came to visit me... and see these cutie pies in concert at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. I was over the moon! Being in Ohio I don't get many visitors and it is really tough not to have friends nearby. Luckily, some good friends have visited multiple times in the nearly 4 years I've lived here. And this weekend was such a great visit!

We shopped, ate, drank, watched the Olympics, had some great tailgating fun, and just visited with each other.
Who knew we would be getting sunburns tailgating in Cleveland?!? It was hot, hot, hot!!

And the concert was great.... especially getting to meet Kenny. So awesome that Danni had connections to set that up!

It was such a great weekend. Thank goodness I took Monday off to recuperate... and keep off my feet from the monster blisters I got from my cowboy boots. But it was worth it, can't wait to see these fun ladies again soon!

A Little Bit Country

It has been a long process... but lately, I am just LOVING country music. I'm not sure when it started exactly. Years ago my parents dabbled in listening to Garth, Dwight, Shania or The Judds. I would listen to a song here and there but no real commitment. But something has changed. These days I seem to turn the radio on just as often to a country station as I would to alternative music.

A few years ago I went to my first country music concert. Kenny Chesney... and it was so much fun!

Soon after this is I found a band that I loved to listen to. I was wedding planning at the time and all of their music just made me feel good. Lady Antebellum. I started listening to them so often, that finally this summer I decided I needed to see them in concert.

And even though I still think of it as the Lady A concert, Natalie informed me that really, we were at a Tim McGraw concert. Which was very enjoyable as well.
Who would have thought I would become a little bit country once I left the south!
